Chemicals intended for calcium removal are expensive and harmful to people, plants and animals. In addition, these caustic substances can chemically burn tile and other pool surfaces beyond repair.
Watermark Pros Method
Our process uses an environmentally friendly inert media with no caustic residues or fear of harming people, animals or plants.
Customers and retail pool suppliers alike tell us that pumice stones may remove some light calcium; however, they can also scratch tiles, be extremely frustrating, time consuming and in the end produce little if any results.
Watermark Pros Method
Our method will never cut or scratch your pool tiles and will not leave behind contaminates. Our state of the art process of applying microscopic spherical beads of glass under low pressure insures gentle yet effective removal of calcium deposits. (See our video on the Process page.) Watermark Pros is your best solution for the removal of calcium deposits from coarse to fine surfaces in and around your swimming pool.
High pressure blasting (sodium bicarbonate, soda, magnesium sulfate and Epsom salts) is great for specific applications such as stripping paint in the auto/marine industries, graffiti removal and industrial degreasing. High psi blasting requires compressed air + media + H20. High psi blasting propels media at pressures reaching velocities nearly 4 times the discharge at the end of a fire hose. (That’s 300 to 1000 pounds of pressure per square inch!) It goes without saying that pressures of these magnitudes at close range can disintegrate grout joints, weaken the tile base and cause tile to separate from the walls of your pool.
Watermark Pros Method
Watermark Pros focuses solely on calcium removal in and around swimming pools. Our equipment is custom designed to perform at very low nozzle pressures of 25-35 psi. This is similar to the pressure you might feel while letting air escape from your car’s tire valve.
Believe it or not, many people are actually told they need to replace their pool tile due to calcium build up. Unless you are remodeling your pool, obviously, replacing tiles spoiled aesthetically by calcium deposits will never be a cost effective alternative.
Watermark Pros Method
We will expose the original beauty of your tile by removing calcium deposits and save you thousands of dollars.
For years glass beads have been used in other industries for cleaning and finishing precious metals and fragile surfaces such as gold, sterling silver, glass and plastics to name just a few. We tested other so called “calcium removal methods” and found that glass beads consistently achieved the best results as the safest, most effective and low impact method for the removal of calcium from swimming pool tile.
